Interactive Cookbooks
As product development manager, I led an effort to expand the capability of interactive ebooks and tested new digital publishing business models. In a series of cookbooks, I helped improve a challenging reading experience via innovative content adaptation.
Improved discoverability within the ebook via grouped content verticals and a rethinking of the table of contents helped address the common use case, “I just need x, just show me x.”
Finding recipes couldn’t be easier with multiple view options, alphabetic sorting, and displaying the total number of available recipes. Integrating photography into search actions improved click thru rates to recipe pages keeping users engaged over time.
Handy and user-friendly tools like countdown timers, shopping lists, and step-by-step instructions made cooking a breeze and meant never losing your place or having to flip back to a full ingredient list
