Cofounder of Little, Brown Lab, a data-driven publishing imprint of Little, Brown and Company, one of the nation’s oldest publishing companies. Launched as a proof of concept to measure how consumer search patterns impacted publishing and marketing decisions, this imprint published seven titles and influenced acquisition strategies for many more.

Niche and trending nonfiction publication opportunities were surfaced by mining, analyzing, and combining Amazon search terms, Google trends, and publicly available sales data into longitudinal data sets that were visualized over a timeline.

Exploring non-book content verticals surfaced more options. Home & Kitchen customers were increasingly searching for takoyaki pans, leading to the acquisition of The Little Book of Takoyaki.

I’m a big believer in taking an ownership mentality and being empowered to act to bring value. So, yeah, I wrote Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: A Coloring Book Biography! Data trends showed a long shelf life for political coloring books. I researched AOC’s background and biography, contracted with an illustrator, and published the book in 2019.
